What is Key Club?

Key Club is sponsered by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in its mission to serve the children of the world. Members perform acts of service in their community, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing, organizing food drives, Salmon Days, the Giving Tree and volunteering at local organizations. Key clubbers also have the opportunity to learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected positions at the club, district and international levels.

Key Club is about service, caring, leadership, spirit and inclusivness. The Key Klub community is extremely friendly and inclusive. If you take advantage of all the events, you will find yourself growing as a person, developing leadership skills and confidence, and with more friends than you started with. You will see that our motto, caring-our way of life, is very true.

The major emphasis of Key Club International is, "Children: Their Future, Our Focus." This unites all Key Clubs because the biggest focus in our community is the youth. The current service initiative is the Eliminate Project.

In conclusion, Key Club is about helping people, particularly the youth, and making a positive, big impact on our community. So who is Key Club for? Anyone that wants to positively impact their community.

Lauren Dodd

Hey, I'm Lauren Dodd, your president for the 2014-2015 school year. I enjoy corny jokes and really good cookies. I am overjoyed that I get the opportunity to help guide our club to become even greater than it already is. I am looking forward to being a bigger part of Key Club this year and strengthening the bonds we have with one another!

Hello, I am the incoming secretary of Liberty High School’s Key Club. I am in charge of writing monthly reports, and recording minutes of our club meetings, members’ hours, and amount of meetings attended. As secretary, I strive to stay as organized as possible (and become a decent successor of Emerson). We hope to gain more members as the new key club year starts, and get more members to participate in our upcoming events. As Emerson has done in previous years, I will send out emails at the beginning of each month. This email will have an updated list of total hours and meetings. I wish to get to know each and every one of you!

Aldrick Cabrera
Hi. I'm Aldrick Cabrera. I'm a Senior and Liberty High School's Key Club Treasurer. If there's anything you should know about me, my favorite kinds of jokes are chemistry jokes and puns, I'm a geek that loves to play video games, play ping pong, and of course - volunteer. If you ask me why I joined key club, my answer to that is because I love being able to volunteer with a bunch of positive, outgoing, and energetic people who are in the best club that there is just like I am.
